I’ve always preferred animation over live-action because there’s just so much more freedom. You aren't limited by reality you can push character designs, colours, and movements as far as your imagination goes.
What really hooked me was seeing how a studio like David Production could take the unique style of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and make it work perfectly on screen. The way they use colour and those iconic, dramatic poses (massively inspired by Hirohiko Araki’s art) showed me that animation is the ultimate way to tell a story. That’s what I want to do: take a bold vision and bring it to life through movement.

One of my favourite personal projects so far was a three-layered study of a human face starting with the skull, then the muscles, then the skin. It was a huge challenge to figure out how everything layered together, but it taught me that I actually love the "research" part of character design just as much as the drawing.
I’m really ready to move past just working on my own and start collaborating with other artists at university. I’ve got the drive and the passion, and I’m just excited to get started on the next stage of my creative journey.
